​I have played with many pianists before, but only a few of them can understand & hear what I am looking for…  To me, there is a huge difference of “how to play piano” during certain circumstances.  For example, a pianist should play differently in a “jazz trio” setting, compared to a “solo piano” setting, and most importantly for me, a vocal accompaniment setting.  Matthew James Fullen (Matty is what I call him) is one of the pianists who does just that…
 
February 27th, 2016 marked the first time I performed a whole set as a duet with my great friend Matty.  It was a lovely evening and for a wonderful charity, 為愛發聲…  During rehearsals and especially the performance, there was a definitive musical connection between us, that the audience felt.  I know this because till this day, I have fans who still mention that performance. 
 
I am proud and excited to have the opportunity to have Matty accompany me on one of my songs for my upcoming album.  His sensitivity towards the intimate tune really brings out the story that many of us can relate to…  I can’t wait to share with you all!!
