Drum Recording Session with Chuck Payne @ The Monkey Room

In 2010, while I was looking to put together a new band, I stumbled upon an amazing drummer, Chuck Payne.  As I continued to listen to him play, I could hear him play counter melodies while sustaining an incredible groove.  After getting to know him and his drumming, I realized that he is like a musical chameleon.  He could go from a really swinging jazz feel to a really mean and heavy rock groove.  

For my upcoming album "佮你講", I wanted to tell stories, using different perspectives and "genres"; so it was a "no-brainer" to have one of my favorite drummers, Chuck, join me.  

​His wonderful musical awareness and touch, definitely helped paint the rhythmic picture of my story, bringing it to life!!
